Raising the next generation to know right from wrong and to know Godly principles is something that we took out of schools but is needed today in families. Education is key to how we raise the next generation.
Pray for our leaders: Our Spiritual & Governmental Leaders
We all have our differences but there must be some common ground where we can stand together.
I believe in truth: not my truth and your truth but foundational spiritual truth. Jesus said: “I am the Truth…” John 14:6, John 18:37-38
The XY sex-determination system is a sex-determination system used to classify mammals. X & Y say there are only two genders, Male & Female. In this XY system, the sex of an individual is determined by a pair of sex chromosomes. Male XY and Female XX.
A mix of using gas and other fuels (wind/solar/nuclear/electric/etc.) for energy is something that is possible. They can coexist. If possible we should be able to sustain ourselves. Rely on our own USA fuels.
Racism toward any person is wrong. Remember the old Star Trek episode about white black? “Let That Be Your Last Battlefield”. Two survivors of a devastated planet remained committed to destroying one another. Racism shows a lack of common sense and racism is idiotic.
Wars should be the last resort and if we get into a war to defend our nation then let it be a quick win. “War Is Hell” - quote by William Tecumseh Sherman.
An open national border - a porous border like we have now is useless for determining who should enter our national borders. It is a health & security risk. I do like bridges better than walls. Legal immigration seems like a good bridge.
The family is key to our culture. Some one said: so goes the family, so goes the nation. The quote actually is: “As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live.” ― quote by Pope John Paul II
Capitalism helps more than it hurts. Socialism & Communism is not the answer for our nation financially. Capitalism will help others out of poverty.
There are three branches of our government. The President is not a dictator or tyrant. The government should be based on the U.S. Constitution.
Some sense of the American Dream will inspire us to be better and to do better. To build up rather than to tear down. I can love God and love my country at the same time. They need not be mutually exclusive.
How Can I Know God's Will For My Life?
1. God speaks through His Word, the Bible. Read it daily.
2. God speaks to us in prayer. Pray to God often. Talk to Him & let Him talk to you.
3. God speaks through other Godly people in our lives.
Glean through people's advice.
4. God speaks to us through doors of opportunity opening and closing.
Don't kick open doors that God closes.
5. God speaks through supernatural events and through unique methods.
Be open to the Holy Spirit's guidance.
Imagine, if you will, getting a phone call from your brother during the middle of the summer. He tells you that he and his family (wife and five children) want to spend a week with you during Christmas. You haven’t seen him and his family in two years and are happy they have decided to come and spend the holidays with you and your family. Think for a moment about how you would prepare for their coming (meals, accommodations – room, separate bathroom, etc.).
Now, think about how the situation might be different if on Christmas morning you wake up and started opening gifts. Just then, the doorbell rings. You go to the door and there stands your brother and his family, announcing that they are there to stay a week to celebrate the holidays with you. How would you feel? Most of us would agree that we would rather be prepared for a visitor than be caught off guard by someone’s arrival. At Christmas, we celebrate Christ’s coming to earth. We should live our lives as one big Thank You to God.
Your life is God’s gift to you but what you do with your life is your gift to God.
Being a thankful person will bring more happiness into your life.
Psalm 50:23 God says: Giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.
An attitude of gratitude is what God desire us to have.
Scientists agree that the attitude of gratitude is good for your health.
The Psalms have much to say about being a thankful person.
Read Psalm 100 or Psalm 103 this Thanksgiving. If available try reading these from The Living Bible or the New Living Translation.
